Forgiven
I was reading the Bible one day when I came across the topic of forgiveness. I was amazed at how much God wanted us to forgive others. In fact, Jesus said that if we don’t forgive others, our Father in heaven won’t forgive us (Matthew 6:14-15). I thought about all the times I had been hurt by others and how I had been holding onto that pain. I had been forgiven by God for my sins, but I wasn’t forgiving others.
I decided to start forgiving others and to pray for them. It was hard at first, but I began to feel lighter and happier. I also noticed that the pain I had been feeling in my heart was slowly going away. Forgiving others truly does set us free!
If you are having a hard time forgiving someone, pray for God to help you. He will give you the strength to forgive. Remember, forgiveness is a gift that we give to others, and it is also a gift that we receive from God.
My sins have been forgiven and Suffering on the cross
I was reading about how people used to think that animals went to a literal place called “heaven” when they died. And that we would go to a literal place called “hell” when we died. And I was thinking about how those ideas have changed over the years. And how people now think that when an animal dies, it’s just gone. And that when a person dies, they are just gone.
And I was thinking about how, when Jesus died on the cross, he took all of our sins with him. And how, because of that, our sins have been forgiven. And how, because of that, we don’t have to go to hell when we die. We can go to heaven.
And I was thinking about how Jesus suffered on the cross. And how, because of that, we can be saved. We don’t have to suffer on the cross. Jesus did that for us.
I don’t know about you, but I am really grateful that Jesus died on the cross. And that our sins have been forgiven. And that we can go to heaven when we die. What a wonderful Savior Jesus is!
Conclusion
In the article “Forgiven,” the author discusses the many misconceptions about forgiveness and how it is often confused with letting someone off the hook. Forgiveness is not about absolving someone of their wrongs, but rather it is about freeing yourself from the anger, hurt, and resentment that keep you trapped in the past. When you forgive someone, you are not condoning their behavior, but you are choosing to let go of the negative emotions that are keeping you from living in the present. Forgiveness does not mean that you have to reconcile with the person who hurt you, but it does mean that you are choosing to release them from your anger and grudge. Forgiveness is a powerful tool that can heal both mind and body, and it is something that we should all strive to attain.
